Dear Vision America Action Family,

Yesterday afternoon we received another confirmation that you, the people, can make a difference in your government, when Judge Leslie Southwick, the latest target of the left's campaign of lies and distortions, was allowed to move forward in his quest to be appointed to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. This is a judge that everyone, including some of the most liberal senators in the Senate, agreed was an excellent choice to serve on a lower court, until their allies from groups like People for the American Way decided that the Federal Courts were becoming too conservative and started demanding that Bush appointees be opposed--no matter what.

In my opinion, no one that President Bush has nominated to serve on the Federal Courts better represents all that is good about America than Judge Southwick. Yet the left not only opposed him--they sought to distort his record and destroy his reputation.

Take Action: Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell led the fight for Judge Southwick's nomination in the Senate. His speeches on the floor of the Senate served to rebuke and expose the left, and educate the public on the goodness of Judge Southwick.
